Jaguar Performance Driving Academy: Tame a Big Cat in Vegas
Sin City is rife with great trouble to get into. But stick to the Strip, and you’re not even scratching the surface. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is just 20 minutes down the road from the heart of Las Vegas, and toward the end of April, Jaguar Performance Driving Academy will be out at the track, showing students how to get the most out of its pretty Kitties. Seriously, if you have some extra cash to burn, don’t throw it away at the craps table. Do this instead—you won’t regret it.
Now, I should admit I’m biased. Jaguar is one of my all-time favorite marques, and I credit the sight of a XJ6 when I was six for sparking my lifelong love of cars. When the 420hp XF Supercharged debuted, I got my hands on a press car, and spent virtually every waking moment behind the wheel. One night—I kid you not—I even slept in it. My time with the pretty Kitty culminated in a weekend road trip with my best buddy, which still stands as one of the best times I’ve ever had behind the wheel, and I think of it every time I time I see one of these sleek sedans glide by.
I’ve also gotten some—very limited—seat time in an XKR, and it was as magnificent, so the opportunity to flog one of these babies on a track isn’t something I’d pass up if I had the means. Check out the video below for an idea of what to expect from the courses, and head over to Jag’s official site to sign up.
