You Be the Judge: How’s Magnus Walker’s Highway Driving?
One of the hardest parts about owning a fun car that you absolutely love driving is restraining yourself from the temptation of driving it as hard as you obsess over it. If it’s a sports car, it’s even more seductive. But, there’s always a time and place for driving it like you stole it. And a crowded highway is neither the time nor the place. Magnus Walker apparently didn’t get that memo. Or he saw it, ripped it into shreds, and set it on fire.
Walker has become a bit of a legend and celebrity in the Porsche and general car galaxy. He’s a down-to-earth car fanatic who lives in Los Angeles, started a hugely successful clothing company almost by accident, has a huge 911 collection, and is known as the Urban Outlaw. Hell, he recently even got his own MOMO steering wheel. Tens of features have focused on his unique personality in relation to the typical German sports car buyer. And with that have come tales of plenty of speed.
A video surfaced of Walker recently showing him taking a drive in one of his 911s during the middle of the day. You can watch for yourself, but essentially, he’s speeding, weaving in and out of traffic, and at one point, playing back and forth with a turbocharged Honda Civic.
This comes shortly after Walker wrecked his famous 277 with a reporter in the passenger seat. We won’t bother getting preachy, because Lord knows we’ve had our share of fun on public roads. But the safest place to do this kind of stuff is definitely the track or on a public road where there are no other people.
