Keith Richards’ Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur Up for Auction
Have you ever wanted to own a luxury car that was once owned by a rock star? Now is your chance. Coming soon to the Bonhams Goodwood Revival Sale is a Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur that was purchased by Keith Richards in 1965. In addition to being a rare car, it also had some special “rock star” modifications.
What are these modifications, you ask? Well Mr. Richards liked drugs, so he had the vehicle modified to have a compartment designed to hide his drugs and paraphernalia. Named “Blue Lena,” Richards has said he has had many acid trips in that car.
It was also used as a getaway car to take Richards to Morocco after a media frenzy started when the British police looked into his drug use. Drugs were also significantly easier to get in Morocco than back in England.
According to the pre-auction estimates, Richards’ Bentley could sell for as much as $570,000-$855,000. The auction takes place on September 12th, 2015.
