Koenigsegg Crashes an Agera R Test Mule at Nürburgring
When you are a supercar manufacturer there are a few key things that you must do to ensure your own credibility. First, make something simply too crazy for most normal human beings.
Something that makes the driver more other worldly, more batsh*t crazy. Second, you need a design that invokes young children to either hide in terror, or want them to plaster it all over their walls. And lastly, you need to take it to the ‘Ring.
Yes, in order to truly be a part of the supercar world, your testing needs to be done at the most infamous of racetracks……………in the world. And that is exactly where Koenigsegg has been testing both a mule in Agera R form, and the new One:1.
This however is a track that really can’t be taken lightly, no matter who you are or what skill level you perceive to be at. ‘Ring Queen Sabine Schmidtz has had countless offs and crashes, and she lives inside the track! Well today, Koenigsegg got bit by the legendary track, and bit hard.
While running through some testing with the Agera R mule, testing we don’t know what, the car crashed hard hitting the wall. Both the driver and the passenger we immediately taken to the hospital, but it seems like the driver was the most hurt. No word yet on their condition.
This track has claimed many a life, and countless cars. It’s a track that deserves respect, nay it demands your respect. You take it for granted even for a moment, and you are in a wall. Don’t believe me, just search up Nürburgring crashes on YouTube.
You’ll understand after about two minutes what I’m talking about.
