LA Auto Show 2013: Up Close and Porschenal with the 918

This is the one. The Macan might’ve been the big reveal this year at Porsche’s booth, but the 918… Nothing can really compare. As enticing as that quick little crossover is, it just doesn’t have the gravity of the 918. It is their crown jewel.

There was a constant crowd of people waiting around the glass walls holding the 918, so they only let in a porscheon of people in at a time through out the day. Luckily, I got in earlier in the morning to take a few photos. I don’t need to talk about arresting this design is or the extreme porscheformance this car offers (that’s been covered that at length elsewhere). It’s intoxicating. Just stand in the room with this thing and you feel… Different. It’s a little like being porschessed by a spirit that only desires speed.
