VIDEO UPDATE Suicidal Ferrari LaFerrari Bashed in Budapest
The Ferrari LaFerrari is one of the most powerful hypercars on the planet. It churns out 949 horsepower out of its electrically assisted V12 motor. It can hit 100 miles per hour in the time it takes most cars to get to 60 miles per hour, twice.
It also, when new, had a price tag that reached into almost the $2 million range. It’s hyperbole on wheels. However, many of the drivers and owners of said hyperbole, aren’t exactly what you would call, trained. As this owner recently found out.
According to the reports, the driver was taking the LaFerrari out of a local Ferrari shop after it had undergone some repair work when the driver lost control of the hypercar and fishtailed into three parked cars, absolutely decimating the front left corner of the car. While the car looks fairly intact, the bill to fix the car will likely be astronomical.
Maybe instead of cultivating the people who get to buy these one-off Ferraris should come down to how many they’ve owned, but rather how much time they’ve spent at the track learning how to truly control them. Maybe Ferraris like this wouldn’t be so rare?
