He was once a Ferrari customer and was not happy with the cars. Lamborghini felt they were too rough and loud for a road car. He told Enzo Ferrari about these issues and Ferrari did not care. Lamborghini then personalized his personal Ferrari to perform better than the factory car. This encouraged Lamborghini to develop his own car to his personal taste.
Lamborghini’s Ad Personam is a new division for personalization. This is a dream studio, for anyone buying a Lamborghini. The color of a car is such a personal choice. The right shade of blue or green, with a hint of metallic flake, can make all the difference. The aggressive angular shape of modern Lamborghinis lend themselves perfectly to a variety of colors. Now you can have any color you want. Bubblegum pink with green accents, sure you can order it.
There are individual programs like this from other brands. Porsche has their PTS, paint to sample, and McLaren has their MSO, McLaren Special Operations. So, it is surprising just how long it took for Lamborghini to offer such a program.
