Lamborghini Aventador Burns, MSN Responds With Clueless Report

When this Lamborghini Aventador decided to torch itself, I knew everybody would cover it. But I didn’t expect such a clueless response from MSN!

Seriously MSN, if you’re going to post a story about Lamborghini flambe, please give it to a writer who understands the charred landscape of the supercar world. I mean, the first sentence is laughable: “Lamborghini is mid-publicity disaster as this video of a $376,000 Lamborghini Aventador going up in flames goes viral.”

Um, seriously? Going up in flames is one of the things the Raging Bulls do best! Google it. Trust me, nobody in PR skipped tiramisu to bolt back to the office. Nobody at the Sant’Agata factory is surprised. And as for the spectators “cackling with laughter while trading stories about their own Lamborghini fires,” there isn’t a person among them even slightly deterred from buying a Lambo. But the author really hit it out of the park with the last line: “May we suggest a Ferrari?”

Are you kidding? If you had to pick a make of car even more fire-prone than Lamborghini, it’s Ferrari. Google it. But to paraphrase the Italian proverb, since the car is on fire, let us warm ourselves. The video of the first—and certainly not last—Aventador fire is below. Enjoy.
