The Lamborghini Miura: The World’s First Supercar
When discussing the history of the supercar, the conversation always comes around to the Lamborghini Miura. The Miura is one of the most jaw dropping, awe-inspiring car ever to be produced. The limited number of Miuras built, combined with the absolutely echoing V12 wail all make for possibly the best, and first true supercar ever to grace the planet.
The Miura was ridiculous before the likes of Ferrari, and all others gravitated to the absurd. In the video below, Petrolicious has the chance to speak with one Miura owner about the experience, and about the history of his particular car. What you see here is a beautiful red P400S. The owner has had it since 1979, and honestly, if we had it since then, we’d never let it go.
The way this car sits, and the noise is just absolutely fantastic and it makes the Miura the icon it is. If only Lamborghini could come out with a true successor. Something that would make you bite the back of your hand with envy.
