Lamborghini Bringing Twin Turbo LS-powered Huracan Build to SEMA
Popular auto vlog B is for Build will be posting updates of the high-octane Lambo project ahead of the reveal.
Every year, the automotive industry descends upon Las Vegas for the ultimate industry show, the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA). This year’s event is taking place on November 5-8. One vehicle that has already piqued our attention comes is a custom-built manual, twin turbo, LS-powered Lamborghini Huracan. Definitely a serious contender for one of the coolest rides.
Built by YouTube personality Chris Steinbacher of B is for Build, you can follow the progress of the Lambo on his channel.
The 2015 Lamborghini Huracan comes from humble roots, as it was initially purchased as a fire-damaged bare shell. It has since been transformed into the world’s first manual transmission, LS-powered, twin-turbocharged Huracan. Steinbacher and his crew swapped in a 430 ci Texas Speed LS engine, twin Garrett GTX3582R Gen II turbochargers, and a Graziano transmission from an Audi R8. We definitely are curious to see the performance of this Lambo. But an LS swapped Lambo might be match made in heaven.
The body has been modified based on a design created by artist and designer Khyzyl Saleem. It is outfitted with carbon fiber body panels from a Huracan Super Trofeo. And based on what we’ve seen thus far, we think it is a truly gorgeous design that appears to be flawlessly executed.
If you are going to be at SEMA, there will be a meet and greet with Steinbacher and the B is for Build team at the Garrett booth on November 6. Garrett, a turbo technologies company, will be live streaming the reveal on their Facebook page at 2 p.m. on November 5.
We will also be on the scene at SEMA, so stay tuned for plenty of live updates from the event.
