Lamborghini Unveils Aventador SV Roadster
The Lamborghini Aventador is a brilliant way of setting your pants on fire. Its 700 plus horsepower naturally aspirated V12 engine wails as you press your foot deeper and deeper into the floor. However, there were those that wanted something a bit more, so Lamborghini built a SuperVeloce version.
It’s lighter, has more horsepower, more aero, and can stomp the Nürburgring in under seven minutes. However, for those that want more than just ludicrous speed, Lamborghini just unveiled the new Aventador SV roadster.
Unveiled at Pebble Beach, the new Aventador SV Roadster lops the top of the standard Aventador SV and unleashes that V12 motor for you and your ears to hear without any barrier blocking it. According to Lamborghini, the new Roadster version of the Aventador SV is the exact same weight as the hardtop version standard Aventador, or around 110 pounds more than the regular SV. Top speed is however the same as the coupe Aventador SV at 217 mph.
Only 500 cars will be built, and since the Aventador SV coupe sold out in a manner of hours, we’re sure that this will too.
