Magnus Walker Walks us Through The History of the 911 Turbo
Magnus Walker has become the king of all things Porsche within the last few years. Ever since his Urban Outlaw video went as viral as viral gets, the man has become the poster child for vintage Porsches, no matter if he wants to be or not. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things from Stuttgart and is the go to guy for any of your Porsche needs or wants.
However, for the longest time, Magnus has been only about the air cooled, non-forced induction Porsches. He’s had every single air cooled Porsche 911 ever, from the car’s inception to the last air cooled Porsche. But now Magnus is moving on, not completely, but he’s moving into the waters that are the 911 Turbo.
Seeing as the 911 Turbo is celebrating its 40th anniversary, Magnus and eGarage teamed up to create this awesome short film below, about the history and the love that Magnus has for these cars, and his quest to bring one back from Australia. But he’s not just seeking any old 911 Turbo, he’s got his eyes on one of the original 284 production examples from 1975, the first year of production for the iconic car.
And what better way to show the evolution of the car than to pit her against her much younger brother: the 2015 Porche 911 Turbo?
The beauty of not only the cars, but how well this film was shot, is nothing short of amazing. And Magnus’s imposing stature comes through perfectly. But the star is obviously the 1975 911 Turbo.
