How to Build a Porsche 911 Slayer Out of a Beetle
The Volkswagen Beetle was once the most popular car in the world. It stayed in its original production from in some way or another until 2008. However, it is not what you’d call fast. In fact, it is one of the slowest cars ever produced. It took the little Beetle a whopping 22-seconds just to complete the quarter mile from a dead stop. However, what the Beetle lacked in power, it made up for in terms of the ability of tuners to drop in whatever drivetrain they wanted.
According to Mighty Car Mods, the Beetle deserves better than a 22-second quarter mile time. That’s why they took the EJ25 motor out of a Subaru Forester, forged all the internals, and turned up the cars boost to preposterous levels. The result is a mighty quick Beetle.
As you’re about to see in the video, the Beetle not only smokes a current generation Beetle, but also a Porsche 996 911 Carrera. Actually, it makes the Porsche look like it’s standing still. Check it out.
