NSFW: These Modified Porsches Will Haunt Your Dreams
There really isn’t any account for taste sometimes. Whether it be through the aftermarket, or directly through the manufacturer. And today, we are bringing you examples from both. Terrible, terrible examples.
I’ll start off by saying I’m sorry for your retinas, they shouldn’t be subjected to this level of “ugh, why!” However, hopefully to get the word out on what not to do, we will be saving future generations. Today, I picked two modified Porsches. The first directly from Stuttgart and the second from the tuner TopCar.
This is called the Cayenne S Palladium Metallic Edition, and the longer than anything else in the world should be your first clue that this is going to be a real uggo. The Cayenne has been painted with a “natural silver color of palladium with subtle golden finishes” and a set of 21 inch wheels painted the same color.
The only way I can think of describing the color is baby mucus greenish? And to pair the lovely exterior, Porsche took a page out of Mansory’s playbook and did a two tone brown and cream interior that makes everything look like it’s made of chocolate.
Porsche usually make such works of art directly from the factory, but this one is just plain terrible. But I do have to say, it’s not as terrible as the next creation.
This is the TopCar Panamera Stingray GTR, again long name usually equals codfish levels of design ugliness. It has a whole host of terrible design and paint choices that make a mildly ugly sedan absolutely hellish looking.
From the blue accents just about everywhere, to the weird body kit that only adds weight, to the price of the entire kit which costs a staggering $60,000, this might be one of the worst modified Panameras in the world.
I’m all for modifying cars, but it needs to be done tastefully and with a point. Meaning, modifying a car needs to be done with purpose and a plan, not something you whipped up with a paint gun and a few hundred bucks worth of fiberglass last night while you were drunk.
These two cars showcase how badly someone, or even the manufacturer can get it wrong. Now let us all just cleanse out palate and our eyes with a 918…
