MY RIDE! 2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage and 1970 Oldsmobile 442

What could be better than a V8? Though some people might argue that there is, in fact, a replacement for displacement, clearly 6SpeedOnline member James (A.K.A. “spf1410“) does not agree. And though we won’t say that the size of the engine is king, we will say that the feel of a V8 is hard to match.

Faster or not, there is a reason that people love this large motors. Though we don’t know exactly what James’s reason for his love of these rides is, today we’ll step inside his garage and take a closer look at his two V8 powerhouses within!

The first of these rides is actually the first car that James ever owned — a 1970 Oldsmobile 442. He purchased it in 1975 and still owns it, which is a feat in and of itself. There are countless people who wish that they had kept their classic muscle cars, and we’re glad to say that James doesn’t just have to wish for this!

The second ride, which will appeal too all the fans of European cars that are lurking around here, is a 2010 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. We’re sure that this car is a blast to drive, and we have to admit that we’re quite jealous. After all, these aren’t the most common things to see on the road!

Whether you prefer a turbo whistle, a supercharger whine, or the pure power of displacement, there is no denying that James has a pair of excellent rides in his possession!
