McLaren 570S Poised to Go Head to Head with Germany’s Best
With McLaren wanting to expand its range, the manufacturer recently unveiled the absolutely brilliant looking McLaren 570S. This new supercar will sit right below the 650S and 675LT, and will go head to head against the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, and the new Mercedes AMG GT.
It’s lighter, lower, and a tad bit smaller than the 650S, but it does everything just like its older brothers. McLaren, to keep costs down, used the same carbon tub and 3.8L twin turbo V8 found in both the 650S and P1. However, the entire front, rear, and sides have all been completely changed to make this car distinct.
That said, McLaren doesn’t want this new 570S to be that distinct. With a starting price of $184,000, this is by far the most budget friendly McLaren the company has put out ever. And while $184,000 is still a heck of a lot of money, it’s pocket change compared to the multi-million dollar P1 GTR. The price though is perfectly situated to take on the likes of the Porsche 911.
