New Porsche Cayman to Debut at LA Autoshow
Cayman fans rejoice! Porsche’s redesigned mid-engined sports car will make it’s debut this November at the Los Angeles autoshow. It’s drop-top sibling, the Boxster, got an update earlier this year to rave reviews so we’ve been expecting the Cayman to be getting an upgrade as well.
We don’t imagine they’ll change the power much from the 280hp and 330hp of the outgoing model. The Cayman already sits in the sweet spot of drivability and raw speed, so it’s doubtful that Porsche would ruin it that way. No doubt, they wouldn’t want to cannibalize the sales of their top-dog 911 either. A seriously fast Cayman would be fun, but then it probably wouldn’t be a Cayman.
The car is expected to go on sale in early 2013. It’s brother, the Boxster, will be going on sale on June 30th. It’s a good time to be a Porsche fan.
