2017 Porsche Panamera Spotted. Handsome, but Still Ugly
I am not what you would call a Panamera fanatic. I’m not even what you would call a Panamera liker. It’s one of those cars that is just completely polarizing in the enthusiast community.
It doesn’t matter how fast it is. It doesn’t matter how amazingly quiet or well built, it just isn’t a good looking car. Heck, I would even go so far as to call it ugly. Thankfully, Porsche has listened to me, because they do that, and have begun the update process on the new Panamera.
The old Panamera was a bit of a minger, it just looked super choppy. Like someone told the design to combine a 911 and an estate wagon, but try to make it as ugly as possible.
This new Panamera has softer lines, a revised rear section, and looks a lot like just a bit stretched 991. It, dare I say, looks actually quite handsome.
The front has been restyled to evoke more of a Cayman-esque profile, and the front air intake has been widened to be a bit more aggressive. In all honesty, I actually like it a lot.
It definitely looks a million times better than whatever that was the preceded it. It looks like a proper Porsche saloon car now. Thank the driving gods!
