911 Turbo S: New Special Edition Porsche
In the land of beer and schnitzel, there sits a lovely little company and turns out some of the best cars on the planet. Ok, so they aren’t a small company, but the cars they turn out are wonderful pieces of engineering awesomeness. I speak of Porsche.
Today to be a relevant sportscar manufacturer, you need to release multiple one off versions to keep the brand and car dynamic and to keep your company in the press. I’m not sure when this whole trend started but Porsche has finally come on board with a special one off version of the 911 Turbo S.
The one off special will be specifically made for the UK to celebrate 40 years of the Turbo. And like everything with Porsche, it’s going to cost you at least an arm and a leg. Maybe an ear too. Or kidney.
The package will be an extra $17,000, which will get you the Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, Sport Chrono, Ceramic brakes, Classic Wheels, new spoiler, contrasting black accents, and my favorite party piece, the Union Jack smattered around the car to signifying, “ZAT ZE GERMANS LOVE ZE UK!” Just forget about what happened between 1930-45 over the skies of London please?
Only 40 will be made and I’m pretty sure they’ve already been spoken for. Hopefully this one won’t spontaneously combust like the GT3’s, otherwise it’s likely to incite WW3!
