Nissan GT-R versus Koenigsegg CCX – Place Your Bets!
Which particular cars come to mind when you hear the word—Koenigsegg? Perhaps the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, or even the outrageous Hennessey Venom GT, but most definitely not a plebeian Nissan GT-R, right?
That’s perhaps what the Koenigsegg CCX driver in this video was thinking when the relatively low-key GT-R pulled next to him fancying a race, followed by a chuckle and a downshift. The rest is history, or at least he is, considering the GT-R led the race from the start and finished miles ahead of the million-dollar car. Ouch.
While the tuner community assures us the GT-R is a heavily modified sleeper that packs over 2,000 horsepower, without seeing a Dyno sheet or an instrumented test, it’s purely all speculation. But what isn’t speculation, is that a ridiculously powerful Nissan managed to shame the king of hypercars, as well as a measly Mercedes C63 AMG and BMW M3.
This is why sleepers rule! What do you think?
