Nürburgring to Reopen Without Speed Limits
For those fans of the Green Hell, get ready to get excited once again, the owners of the Nürburgring just released a statement that the toughest racetrack on the planet will be once again open for manufacturers to come and test without speed limits.
According to Capricorn Nürburgring GmbH, the owners of the ‘Ring, the circuit will be closed from November of this year, to March of next year so as to implement a series of upgrades that will hopefully make the track safer for both drivers and spectators alike. The infamous track has had speed limits in certain parts of the track ever since a racecar was thrown into a crowd of spectators.
For the time being, the speed limits will remain, but as soon as the track reopens next year, manufacturers will be able to continue to set ludicrous lap times in all their special projects. What this means is that we’re only a few short months away from getting a true sense of just how fast both the Bugatti Chiron and the Koenigsegg One:1 truly are. We can’t wait.
