One Less One-77 Thanks to Crash in Hong Kong
Aston Martin made a big fuss about their One-77, claiming it was their showcase piece for technology, performance, and luxury. Of course that meant that eventually someone with too much money and not enough sense would get their hands on it and put the thing into a wall. We just didn’t expect it to be so soon.
According to the internet, the driver of the Aston was speeding through Hong Kong when he clipped a curb, resulting in the damage here. It’s unclear exactly how the incident went down, but there were no other cars involved in the crash leading us to believe that speed is the culprit. What we do know is that it won’t be an easy fix. The subframe of the One-77 is an exquisite skeleton of carbon fiber. While it’s extremely rigid and strong, it has very little give and is prone to fracturing on impact. The car has been taking back to the Aston Martin for examination, though if damaged enough, there’s a chance the car can’t be fixed.
