Open Up Your Wallets! There’s a Ducati Meccano Set Coming Your Way
Toy builders have figured it out. Build toy sets of things that people are passionate about, and you’ll have them spending hundreds of dollars before they even realize what they’re actually doing.
Iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer, Ducati, has recently teamed up with British-founded toy set company, Meccano, to build an exquisite Ducati Meccano toy set of the Monster 1200 S. Ducati, who is now owned by Audi Group A.G. has recently ventured into licensing some of their iconic brands, which we can imagine is purely for financial gain. (How terrible!)
With the recent release of Ford’s Lego sets featuring the Shelby GT350 and Ford Raptor, and Porsche’s alliance with toy set builder, Playmobil, one can only expect more and more iconic brands will do the same to reach deep into the pockets of their most loyal fans.
Unlike Lego and Playmobil, Meccano uses pieces of metal instead of hard plastic, which gives their models a neat and attractive appearance.
Now if you may excuse me, I have a Lego set to build…
