Porsche Boss Admits Lumpy Liftback “Could Be Better”
While true Porsche enthusiasts love the style of the Panamera, the rest of us haven’t had that much affection for what was billed as a four door 911 to say the least.
I personally might have called it super ugly, though I won’t confirm or deny anything. But now, even Porsche is saying that the Panamera was a divisive design and that it might not be that pretty.
According to Motoring, when asked about the Panamera’s styling, Porsche CEO Matthias Mueller said that they “missed the mark, and that changes to the upcoming redesign will hopefully fix that.”
We already saw a few spy shots of the next Panamera a few weeks ago and my initial impressions were definitely better than what I see in the current car. In fact I actually liked the new styling.
The old car just wasn’t that pretty, and for me it never really encapsulated what a four door 911 should look like. It just looked like an Audi A7 with Porsche bits tacked on.
Let’s just hope that the prototype we’ve been seeing will be way prettier than this one, because I don’t know if my eyes could take another ugly Panamera.
