Parting Out a Veyron: No Lowballers

$250,000. Not a crazy amount of money, but still not chump change to say the least. You could buy a Morgan 3-Wheeler. Three Corvette Z06s. A Ferrari 458. A bunch of vacations across Europe. A trip to near space with Virgin Galactic. Or one seriously wrecked Bugatti Veyron.

A few months ago a Veyron wrecked itself in Austria. The owner reported the claim and found out the bill would be around the $800,000 mark. A serious bill for a seriously fast car.

The owner though, instead of repairing it and worrying for the rest of their lives whether or not it was all truly fixed, decided that they would put it up for sale for a measly $250,000. The car is a 2008 model, no fancy special edition here, but still has that thumpingly great Quad Turbo V16 pumping out a total of 987 hp.

The car, besides being wrecked, has a total of 20,000 miles on the odometer which is a great thing. Why, because I would like to live in a world where supercars are actually driven and this one most certainly has.

To bring it back to how it rolled out of the garage at Bugatti would still require half the GDP of Poland, but then again, it is a Veyron. Or if you want to, you could get it and sell it off for parts or souvenirs to us gearheads! I’d pay like 20 bucks for one of the emblems or turbos!
