Photo/Video Gallery: 2017 Nissan GT-R World Debut
The new 2017 Nissan GT-R has been officially unveiled at the New York International Auto Show, and much to our surprise, it’s more than just a light facelift.
Perhaps the most noticeable change is the “V-Motion” grille, which is much sharper, dramatic, and according to Nissan—it provides for better engine cooling. Keeping the engine cool will certainly be important, because the updated 3.8 liter V6 got a 20 horsepower bump, for a total of 565 horses.
The interior also received a thorough redesign, with the dashboard and driver’s cockpit being made more comfortable and premium, as well as more driver-centric with steering wheel (and not column) mounted paddle shifters. All in all, Nissan claims this is a vehicle with thrilling performance, that can be driven by anyone, anytime.
The 2017 Nissan GT-R will be on sale in the U.S later this summer.
