At this very moment there are thousands, if not millions of Porsche purists going “Can you believe Porsche switched to turbo engines, can you believe they’ve destroyed an honorable tradition, can you believe they’ve sold their souls to the devil?”.
As far as I’m concerned, and according to Porsche, the new 718 Boxster is more powerful, efficient and even smarter, but the best part of all, it’s better looking than the previous generation, which can easily be proved with these amazing photos from Porsche.
The new 2.0 liter turbocharged engine will crank out 300 horsepower on the base Boxster and 350 horsepower on the Boxster S, which is what the 911 was rated at less than a decade ago. With light weight materials and high tech aerodynamics, this new Boxster will surely battle offerings from other German and British brands.
