Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 Meets 1973 Carrera RS

About 40 years may separate them, but their philosophies are very close. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 and the 1973 Carrera RS are both imbued with racing pedigree. Seeing them on the streets is like seeing the ghost of Ayrton Senna shopping at a Walmart in Kansas — the contrast is striking.

Only 126 editions of the 500-horsepower 911 GT3 RS 4.0 were brought to the United States. The 210-horsepower ’73 Carrera RS may be down on power compared to the 997, but it is significantly up on price … it’s worth more than 800 grand.
