Porsche 911 GT3 RS with Akrapovic Exhaust is a Screamer on the Dyno
Venerable 911 GT3 RS with Akrapovic exhaust looks low, lean, and mean as it puts the power down on the dyno.
Youtube channel NM2255 got comprehensive footage of the team at BIESSE Racing flogging another supercar. This video’s contender was a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which is a track weapon without any modifications. The 911 GT3 RS on the dyno at BIESSE, however, received a full Akrapovic exhaust system. The system culminates with a handsome set of tips that get hot, hot, hot on the dyno.
Porsche’s 911 GT3 RS is an AWD track-ready model from the popular 911 line. The 911 GT3 RS has a naturally aspirated flat six-cylinder powerhouse with a stratospheric 9,000 rpm redline. The formula of high-revving flat six and full Akrapovic exhaust system makes for quite the spectacle in testing.
First, BIESSE Racing strapped the AWD 911 down and fed it some air from large blowers for the test. The superbike-like redline made for a screaming soundtrack. GT3 RS customers can opt for the lightning-fast PDK dual clutch transmission, and this 911 is packing a PDK. The dual clutch transmission made for seriously quick gear changes, as the Akrapovic exhaust tips glowed red with heat. Finally, the lightweight beast produced a furious 533 horsepower at the top of the savage rev range.
