Going, Going…Porsche 918 Almost Sold Out
Were you planning to purchase a new Porsche 918 Hybrid? Well, that might not be possible for that much longer because according to Porsche it’s almost already sold out.
Speaking with Automotive News, Porsche stated that its hybrid hypercar is already sold out through to early April, and with production ending in July, it doesn’t leave much time for people to pick up the phone and place their orders.
Unlike the Bugatti Veyron that has been struggling to find the last few buyers, Porsche’s brand new car hasn’t had the cooling off period that the Veyron suffered and continues to suffer from. The 918 Spyder represents the new pinnacle of engineering and thus is reaping the sales benefits, whereas the Veyron’s life was prolonged entirely too long.
If you are in the market though for a hypercar you will have to act quick and get your name on the reservation list. However, as with any Porsche, it’s going to cost you. How much? A cool $200,000 just to put your name on the reservation list. Yikes.
