Porsche 918 Vs. Koenigsegg Agera R
There are times this job is epic-ally cool. Or at least there are times this job can be epic-ally cool for other people. In this instance, this job is awesome for these lucky guys who just took out a Koenigsegg Agera R and Porsche 918 Spyder to a race track. To drag race them. To over 200 mph.
Now you may think this is a one sided drag race. The Agera R has been around for quite some time, and the Porsche 918 is one of the latest and greatest hybrid hypercars. That might not be so accurate though.
Breaking down the specs, the old man in the group seems to have a leg up on the Porsche. The Koenigsegg has a 1,400 horsepower twin-turbo V8 and only weighs in at 2,900 lbs. That gives it a run to 62 in just 2.8 seconds.
While the very advanced hybrid Porsche only makes due with 887 horsepower, but has the added benefit of AWD that helps propel it to 62 in just 2.5 seconds.
I won’t give the ending away, but I will say I really would have loved to have been there for this.
