The chances you own a Porsche 918 Spyder and are in need of this information you probably have been contacted by Porsche directly but in case you did not get the memo, Porsche is performing a cautionary recall all 918 Spyder supercars pertaining to the seat belt assembly.

The issue stems from the original parts catalog for the 918 mistakenly swapped the location of the screws used to secure the seat belt mounts and the belt reel mounts. Porsche states the screws are one-time use only and are not the same. To date, no injuries have been attributed to the error have been reported.

Porsche will inspect the screws and replace them as needed. The automaker says it’s issuing this recall out of caution, which is smart as the last thing it wants to deal with is a faulty seat belt being to blame for an injury in the event of a hard stop or crash. This is the fourth recall regarding the 918.
