Porsche Offers New Aerokit for the 911 Turbo and Turbo S
If Porsche engineers should be known for one thing, or rather called one thing, it should be tinkerers. This group of engineers, more than any other manufacturer employed engineer’s love to slightly tinker with the dynamics and appearance of their cars.
It doesn’t matter how small, or how seemingly inconsequential the change is, this group will make it happen. And usually, it makes for some staggering improvements. Just look at the gradual evolution that is the 911 for example.
That said, the group have been fiddling with the new 991 for the last few years and they believe they’ve come up with some more parts to make the car even better than before. Here I present to you the new Aerokit for the 911 Turbo and Turbo S.
The new Aerokit not only provides a more distinct look for the 911, but increases the performance of the car greatly.
The new kit includes a “distinctive front spoiler panel and a completely redesigned rear lid that has a fixed trailing edge with side winglets and a retractable rear wing with an adjustable angle of attack.”
Additionally, the car receives a boost in total down force in both the speed and performance setting.
The new Aerokit will cost around $6-7,000 when it finally goes on sale later this month. What do you guys think? It will be offered to retrofit all of the newest 991 Turbos and S models. Will you guys spring for the enhanced performance or not?
