Porsche Recaps its 1,208-Car World Record at Silverstone

A couple of weeks ago, we showed you raw video of Porsche’s Silverstone world record, where 1,208 Porsche 911s got together on the famed track as part of the 911’s year-long 50th anniversary celebration. 6SpeedOnline’s Marcus Slater described the dreamy Silverstone traffic jam as “an orgy of flat-six flatulence.”

Porsche has just released its video recap of the event, which includes interviews with Mark Porsche, son of Ferdinand Alexander “Butzi” Porsche, Keith Flint, lead vocalist of The Prodigy, and Porsche racing legends Derek Bell and Richard Attwood. At certain points in the film, you’ll be able to catch glimpses of what it would be like if everyone drove a Porsche 911 … what a splendid world that would be.
