You may remember the tall, slim, fit, and quite gorgeous blonde tennis star that Porsche loved to feature in their videos, magazine spreads, and advertising campaigns around the world. Well, due to a temporary suspension from the sport, Porsche has found a, tall, slim, fit, and quite gorgeous blonde tennis star as replacement.

Maria Sharapova found herself in the hot waters of doping controversies due to a prescribed and long-time use of a substance that turned out to be banned by the tennis governing body, which means she’s now off the court for at least two years. What a better time than for Porsche to revamp their image, and bring another girl onboard, but this time—a German!

Angelique Kerber not only won the Wimbledon rehearsals at Birmingham not too long ago, but she’s also won the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix for the second consecutive time back in April of this year, and will be carrying the Porsche brand to a hopeful win at Wimbledon.

As you could imagine, Kerber is in stunning shape, and her charm, skill and looks make her very desirable to a performance automotive brand that sells cars based on charm, skill and looks.

Still. We miss you, Maria!
