Now that the whole fire fiasco is behind us, we can get back to pining over Porsche’s most hardcore 911. It’s a hard car to hate.

Even harder to hate is the GT3 RS, spotted here on the Nurburgring. The specs are unknown, but if I’m being honest, at this level of car the specs are just numbers. I mean look at it!

“Specifically”, it’ll likely be the fastest naturally aspirated 911 ever. By some miracle of engineering, Porsche have pushed the GT3 RS to nearly 500 horsepower. It’ll get from 0 to 60 miles per hour in a scant 3.5 seconds you can thank Porsche’s PDK for that. Zero-to-sixty times aren’t really what the GT3 RS is about, however.  That towering wing is there for downforce. We’re expecting some 50% more downforce on this car than on the regular GT3.

What’s really interesting about the RS isn’t all the new fangled aerodynamic bits, but the possible inclusion of some rather old technology. Word on the net is the GT3 RS might be available with a manual transmission. Exciting isn’t it?
