Viper TA is Absolutely Fantastic
When Clarkson proclaimed that the Ascari A10’s exhaust was like Brunellian Hellfire, he had never stepped into a Viper TA. The Viper TA is a raw nerve, completely exposed to the elements. It’s twitchy. It’s rough. It’s absolutely fantastic.
You step into the car and are cocooned by the amazing seats, but quickly realize that this car was not made for people above the height of 6’. The windshield is so narrow, if you above that height, you need to shimmy down a bit so you can actually see. And sight in this car is a definite.
You lay on the accelerator and all hell breaks loose. Not just in terms of outright speed, but the noise of the car. It doesn’t sound like any other car I’ve ever driven.
It’s industrial. It has more in common with a racecar than a road car. It’s like gears are being ripped apart in a massive explosion. You just rip the clutch and stomp your foot to the floor and pray you are good enough to tame it. Guess what, you aren’t.
