Range Rover Releases SVR Price…Ouch!
Thank god for British depreciation. That’s all I can say really about the new Range Rover SVR, because right out of the box, I would never be able to afford such a luxury hoonmobile. Range Rover released the starting price of the new SVR, which will come out to be $110,475!
Yikes. However, due to Range Rover’s lovely sliding scale that is depreciation, give it about 5-6 years and I’ve got myself the fast SUV on the planet! Well hopefully.
So long as Bentley doesn’t put some monstrous twin turbo-supercharged W12 with nitrous that has super adaptive dampening and all the aero in the world. If that happens, I’m screwed, if not then I’ve got myself a wicked quick family go getter that will smoke most Porsches.
According to Land Rover, even though the SUV will knock out Caymans around a track, it will still have all the off-road capabilities that a Range Rover is known for. That would be truly amazing if they can pull it off.
Given the need for stiff suspension and an overall stiff ride quality needed to conquer a race track, having the ability to ford a stream or go through muddy terrain without bouncing the occupants out of the car is crazy.
One feature I absolutely love is the exhausts. They look like they were taken straight from the F-Type R and set the entire rear bumper off. I don’t know what they’ve been putting in the water around the JLR facilities but I hope it continues if these are the vehicles we keep getting!
So is it worth all the money and hell you will inevitably go through for repairing the thing when the air suspension fails and it costs $10k to fix? You decide, I just hope Carmax will have one in a few years so I can get their warranty!
