Restyled 2016 Honda CBR500R Sharpens Its Future
Looks like somebody has been cutting carbs. Or should we say cutting corners? Not shortcuts, the new 2016 Honda CBR500R literally has more corners thanks to a leaner redesign.
With the CBR600RR and CBR1000RR Supersports serving as inspiration, nearly every curve has been chopped into a more angular look. Exaggerated lines, a few nips, a tuck here and there, and even a completely new muffler just make this thing look much more aggressive and war-ready. The new look also serves as better functional aero, as well.
In addition to the aesthetics, the 500 gets new LED lights in the front and rear, an adjustable front brake lever, a refined transmission, a bigger fuel tank, adjustable front suspension. The CBR500R also now uses a wave ignition key for smoother function. Mid-range just got sexier.
