Grudge Match: GT-R Track Pack vs Porsche 997 Turbo S

Nissan has released an additional bit of kit for the GT-R in order to make it more amenable for track duty with the appropriately named track pack. Bigger brakes, “magic” seats, and minor mods abound in the new car, but the price brings it into the territory of Porsche’s Turbo S. At that point, is the performance worth the extra scratch?

That’s what Chris is trying to find out in the video. This time though, instead of making a comparison between the “track” focused GT-R and the GT3 RS, he’s evaluating it against the very similar Porsche Turbo S on a slightly wet Brands Hatch race track. Neither of these cars are true track rats like the BMW GTS and the C63 AMG Black, but they both are 6 cylinder, turbo-charged, AWD sportscars with serious performance.
