Russian R8 Driver Crashes into Local Lada

Russia is home to an active street racing scene that sometimes can be a reckless at times (like any other street racing scene anywhere). Sometimes, you get accidents like this R8 crashing into a Lada in front of a school. It’s one thing to drive badly, but causing an accident and then running away is bound to draw some ire no matter where you’re from.

Unfortunately, bad drivers are an international scourge that know no boundaries, as this R8 proves. Not only does he decide  to drift into a crowded street, he manages to completely flip a Lada as he spins out. The driver of the R8 simply takes off after crashing, turning what was a careless accident into an abdication of responsibility. He even runs a red light while escaping. The worst part? The drift wasn’t even good. 

If the comments on YouTube are any indication, then Russians aren’t very happy about his behavior either. According to Jalopnik, the founder of Russian auto club Smotra.ru says that the russian street racing community is actively looking for the driver, presumably to bring him to justice.
