Scud Missile: Underground Racing’s 1350hp Ferrari F430
By now, we’re used to hearing Underground Racing’s name tagged next to a slightly more bullish Italian marquee, but this time they’ve worked their twin-turbo magic on a beast of a different breed. Everything could use more power. Ferrari’s F430 Scuderia is no exception.
It’s able to run in several stages of tune. Stage 1 is still hilariously fast at 650hp on pump gas. Stage 2 brings it up to 850, while stage 3 cranks it up to 950. Stage 4, or Race Version, takes the Scud all the way up to 1,000hp on pump gas. On race fuel? That number becomes 1350 hp. Yikes.
The rest of the car is discreet. Well, it’s as discreet as a Ferrari will ever be. Next to a 458, the F430 almost looks homely, but in this case it has some HRE P47s to tighten up the look. It’s not like it matters though. With 1350hp, no one is going to get a good look at the wheels anyway.
Hopefully we’ll get to see this car hook up at next years TX2k12, or maybe even before them at the Moscow mile. So long as it runs against the equally insane UGR TT Gallardo. Or maybe even something from 9ff or Switzer. They’re one of the few other luxury/exotic tuners that make power like UGR does. Who wouldn’t want to see another awesome 4-way drag race with those guys?
