SineCycle Makes Electric Bikes Look Badass
One of the keys to the success of the Tesla Model S was its performance, and its elegant style. Rather than look and feel like a wild and futuristic machine, it was designed and styled to be just another car. SineCycle has decided to take that same approach to build a new electric motorcycle. No wild designs, lights or shapes, just a classic chopper-style bike built on a traditional hardtail frame. It looks like a million dollars, and with the exception of the missing exhaust, some people could totally miss that this is an electric bike.
This new bike is far from perfect though. Currently there only exists one, and it was built as a design project to see how it worked out. The bike is not street legal, and its usability credentials are a bit lack luster. It tops out at 75 mph and only has a 35 mile range.
So you can’t buy one, if you could you couldn’t ride it on the road, and it has a terrible battery, but it somehow still looks good enough that none of that matters.
