Singer 911: The “Fifty Shades of Grey” Porsche

On Christmas morning in a utopian universe, every Porsche enthusiast would be gifted a Singer 911. For those of us blessed with all five senses, a Singer 911 for Christmas (or any other morning for those who participate in holidays) would be like receiving the gift of hearing, seeing, touching, tasting and smelling all over again. I include the sense of taste because a Singer 911 provokes so much emotional deliciousness.

Many believe the Porsche 911 by Singer Vehicle Design is the ultimate 911. It may be, but at the very least, it is a gift to the automotive landscape. When Rob Dickinson gives a 964 the Singer treatment, he takes all that is proper about the entire 50-year history of the Porsche 911, and cranks the dial to 12 … then he installs another dial and wrenches it up to 13.
