Does Your Sports Car Need A Full Clear Bra Treatment?

AMMO NYC’s Larry Kosilla shows us how to install a complete car clear bra.

So you’ve just picked up a new car, and you’re really digging it. Say, for example, you splurged and got a special order paint color and you want to keep it looking pristine for years. You don’t want to keep your pride and joy locked away in a garage, afraid to smush a few bugs in the front bumper, right? Maybe the right solution for you is a good complete vehicle clear wrap. That way you can drive your Ferragattighiniclaren without feeling bad about the depreciation hit you’re taking with each rock chip. This crazy stuff will absorb the damage, then heal itself in a flash with nothing more than a little sunlight.

If you’ve had clear bra before (or heard the horror stories secondhand) and you’re afraid of the yellowing, fading, and paint damage that can be done upon removal, fret not. Modern clear bra, especially when installed properly, is much less likely to have any detrimental effect in the removal process years down the road. It also has a much better resistance to UV damage (no yellowing), and helps protect your paint from the same. As David from XPel says in the video, “I say to the enthusiasts, if you really want to enjoy and drive your car and keep it looking new like when you first bought it, paint protection film is the way to go. It’s the only thing that’s going to protect you from rock chips and bugs… etching the front end of your car.

Check out the full video above to see if you have what it takes to go through the installation process yourself. You can do it, you’re a real DIY kind of car enthusiast, right? Or, you could call a certified installer and drop your car off for a couple days to let the pros handle it. Yeah, that seems much more expedient.
