Straight Piped Ferrari Enzo is Wicked Fast (Video)

We wondered why they blurred out the driver’s face and license plate when the video started, but it all makes sense later.

You know those videos of someone revving their car with XYZ brand exhaust on it? They’re usually disappointing, with some schmuck giving a couple little blips of the throttle. Not so with this video. Oh boy. WorldSupercars got together with the owner of a Ferrari Enzo with straight pipes. A rare car, and perhaps the only one with straight pipes. Not only that, the driving video will make you sit up straight and lean forward. It’s more than a little harrowing. This recovered video is pre-GoPro days (we’re pretty sure he’s shooting with a DSLR) so the video is a little shaky, but the quality is great considering it was shot 5 years ago.

The YouTuber gets the ride of a lifetime in a rare car that’s driven how Enzo Ferrari would have wanted it driven. The mountain roads outside of Monaco, according to the description, make a wonderful backdrop for the ridiculously fast pace the driver sets. There are a few passes that remind us just how ridiculously fast 660-hp from a 6.0-liter V12 is.

For those wearing headphones, please perform a volume check BEFORE starting this video. That is all.

Alright, understand the cautionary note? For those who listened, you’re welcome. For the others, your hearing will come back eventually. This thing is loud! It’s a little more reasonable out on the side of the road where the microphone picks up more of the range of the Ferrari’s exhaust. Inside there’s a fair bit of clipping. Unfortunately, it mostly just sounds like noise.

You’ve obviously heard it now, but how about those looks? The Enzo has aged well, which isn’t hard to do when you’re talking about low-production Ferrari models.
