Millions Worth of Supercars Seized From African Dictator in Switzerland
Well, to be precise, the cars were seized from the dictator’s son, Teodoro Obiang, who seems to be a living shell company for his father, the president of the oil-rich country of Equatorial Guinea.
Teodoro Obiang is on paper a big boy with big boy pants on, as he’s been named minister of Unesco on behalf of his African country, and his father appointed him with the “2nd vice-president” title. Wait, wouldn’t that make him the vice-vice-president? All of this hasn’t been done because of Tedoros’s education and work efforts, but for the quest of diplomatic and political immunity from charges brought by foreign countries instead.
Now that you know who’s behind the master plan, you can drool at the vehicles that the Swiss government deemed to have been purchased with laundered money. How about one of the nine Lamborghini Veneno Roadsters ever produced, one of the seven Koenigsegg One:1s ever to go on sale, Â one of the few special edition Bugatti Veyrons, a Ferrari Enzo, a much more plebeian 2017 Ferrari F12 TDF, a Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren P1, Aston Martin One-77, and lastly, a Ferrari LaFerrari?
Quite the collection huh? In fact, many headlines around the world seem to add up a different amount of the total seized, but based on the nameplates, I estimate it to be around $15 million or so. On the low end…
