Video: The Technology in the Ferrari 812 Superfast Will Mesmerize You
Active Aero, Engine Management, and Four-Wheel Steering Are Just Some of the High-Tech Features the Superfast Employs
Ferraris were once known for incredible engines and gorgeous bodies, but terrible everything else. Stories of unreliable, prone to overheating, and poorly finished Prancing Horses plague models up until a couple of decades ago. But now, Ferrari is a technology pioneer.
The new Ferrari 812 Superfast is hands down one of the most beautiful (and outright capable) vehicles Maranello has ever produced. More importantly, and much to the joy of the Tifosi, its 6.5 liter V12 engine hasĀ remained naturally-aspirated. This video onĀ Car TV‘s YouTube channel does an excellent job at highlighting every major aspect of the 812 Superfast from the engine, aerodynamics, to more mechanical details.

The video begins with rather cheesy graphics, and it only gets worse as the scruffy looking driver realizes he’s being chased by a tsunami. Surprisingly, the 812 can outrun a tsunami even when driving on what looks like a foot of standing water — perhaps this video targets Japanese customers who often deal with tsunami warnings. Who knows?
Movie magic aside, this 9-minute video is an excellent watch, and definitely sheds some light on the genius technology employed by Ferrari nowadays.
Enjoy!
