The Final Gallardo: The Lamborghini LP570-4 Sqaudra Corse

Lamborghini Gallardo Squadra Corse
Seriously this time. I’m pretty sure this is the last special edition. I think. Whether or not Lamborghini decides to slip one more iteration of this car into the lineup before the Cabrera makes it’s debut is anyone’s guess. What I do know for sure, is that this is the most eXtreme version of the Gallardo yet.

Lamborghini is basing the Gallardo’s swan song off the Super Trofeo racecar. They’ve taken a very Porsche-esque approach to this. Instead of trying to make the Gallardo’s V10 act like a race engine, they’re just using the same engine. It has the same firing order, same transmission, the same 8000 rpm redline. Most importantly, it makes 560 horsepower. They’ve also bolted on the rear wing and quick release system for the hood from the race car as well.

It definitely looks the part. The interior is a mix of alacantra and carbon fiber with to match the colossal spoiler perched on this thing’s rear-end. It should have the performance to back up all that gear too. Top speed clocks in at 199 mph. The Gallardo dispatches the sprint to 60 in 3.4 seconds. All that light weight stuff isn’t just for looks.

I’m assuming Lamborghini is only building a handful of these before they send their best selling model away forever. The well heeled will be able to purchase one for $253,380. A small price to pay for exclusivity.
