Alfa Romeo is Back!
As a car enthusiast, one must love Alfa Romeo, it’s just one of those things you have to do to join the club. Thankfully, Alfa makes a great case for themselves with create some of the world’s most beautiful cars.
It’s a happy symbiosis. Alfa is just coming back to the U.S. this year with the 4C, but they have stated that this is just the beginning which is good, because they just announced they would follow the 4C up with a Jaguar F-Type and Mercedes AMG GT fighter. And boy does it look utterly spectacular.
Dubbed the 6C, the lightweight coupe will use the same type of build process as the 4C with a Carbon Fiber tub, but will be a bit longer, and have a stonking great Maserati derived twin turbo V6!
Unlike the 4C though, the car won’t be targeted to be more mass produced, if you can call the 4C mass produced, but will be a limited run car that will only be built with a few hundred in mind.
While I think that this decision is a hasty one, the new coupes underpinnings will be based on the upcoming Maserati Alfieri concept we saw a few months ago and the company doesn’t want to undercut that car.
According to the report on AutoExpress, the car will use LED headlights, and use the Ghibli’s 3.0L V6 which is known to produce 480-520 hp. That’s right in the range of the other two cars mentioned above. Those cars are spectacular, and hopefully I will be driving one soon, but they don’t have one thing that this has going for it. It’s an Alfa.
